Josh Alfred, the skit maker better known as Josh2funny, says his comedies are improvisational.
The comedian, in an interview, said having a script for his comedy dampens his creativity.
He said he tries to have guidelines he could build on while performing extemporaneously.
“Everyone has their strength. Some people are good writers, like me I might not do well freestyling with music but I can sit and write a beautiful song,” he said.
“But for comedy, when I am on set or when the camera is rolling, I can not deal with script.
“I do improvisational comedy in front of the camera. I improvise anything when it comes to comedy.
“It is firsthand. When I write, it limits me in a way so most times when I go on stage, I do not know what I am going to do, I just build up the comedy on stage.
“Sometimes I write but the reason I write is just to have guidelines, pointers. So from there, I flow but I am not a person to write the whole thing.”
Josh2Funny further disclosed his plan to foray into music.
“Recently, I have been paying more attention to my music and I have been trying to show people the musical side of me,” he said.
“I dropped ‘Party Again’ some months back and ‘Steeze & Composure’ recently.
“You are going to keep seeing good, real music not comedy music from Josh and I am not about to stop being a comedian.”
