Osawaru’s traditional wedding
2Baba, the iconic Nigerian singer, has tied the knot with his partner Natasha Osawaru in a traditional wedding ceremony.
The private ceremony was held in Abuja on July 25 and attended by close family members.
While details of the ceremony remain scarce, glimpses from the occasion show the newlyweds dressed in elegant traditional attire.
The music legend cut a dashing figure in an immaculate white short-sleeved traditional shirt featuring intricate grey embroidery. He paired this with a crisp white wrapper elegantly tied at his waist.
His royal accessories included multiple strands of gleaming coral beads around his neck and wrists, while a coral-beaded staff added regal flair. The ensemble was perfectly completed with sleek sunglasses and pristine white shoes, blending traditional and contemporary style.
Natasha wore a red off-shoulder gown. Her crowning glory was the magnificent native coral bead okuku headpiece, a symbol of Edo royalty, meticulously arranged atop her head.
Layers upon layers of lustrous coral beads cascaded from her neck to her shoulders, arms, and wrists, creating a mesmerizing display of cultural opulence.
Fans have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the veteran artiste’s latest milestone in his personal life.
The lovebirds’ relationship became public shortly after 2Baba announced his split from his estranged wife Annie Macaulay Idibia in January.
At the time, he clarified that his romance with the Edo lawmaker was unrelated to the breakup.
The ‘African Queen’ hitmaker proposed to Osawaru in February.
The relationship gained family approval in April when Natasha visited Rose, 2Baba’s mother, who had previously pleaded with her to “remove the beads” from the singer in February, claiming he wasn’t in his “right senses”.
